Angela M. Duke-Haynes

Mrs. Duke-Haynes is an experienced legal nurse consultant with many years of independent health care and legal nurse consulting experience covering a broad range of cases including personal injury case, medical malpractice, criminal and product liability.  She started her independent consulting business, Premier Medical Legal Consulting, LLC, in 2001 and specializes in nursing home litigation consulting and previously provided expert review and testimony in this nursing specialty area.  Her broad base of clinical nursing experience consists of long term care, home health, medical surgical nursing, education, hospice and performance improvement.

Prior to legal nurse consulting, Mrs. Duke-Haynes served as the Director of Nursing in both long term care and home health care. In addition to working full time as an independent legal nurse consultant, Mrs. Duke-Haynes continues to provide consulting services to home health care and medical equipment organizations preparing them for Joint Commission accreditation by creating and implementing a plan of action to ensure they meet the regulatory standards.  She also provides education, policy and procedure review, and performance improvement oversight to these health care organizations.

Additionally, she is involved with various professional organizations and is currently serving as Past President of the Central Virginia Chapter of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.  On a national level Mrs. Duke-Haynes serves on the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) Awareness Committee.  Mrs. Duke-Haynes also serves on the editorial board for the Medical-Legal News and is a frequent contributor to the publication.   In 2008 Mrs. Duke-Haynes was a speaker at the national AALNC conference in Arizona.  In 2009 she was a reviewer of the AALNC publication Legal Nurse Consulting Principles 3rd Edition.  

Mrs. Duke-Haynes resides in central Virginia with her husband and four children.
